In addition to the good times we had at the hey mama + H&m ultimate play date, the fun didn't stop there as we headed a few blocks south from Times Square to the Macy's flagship in herald square for their spring festival. We had to first take a slight detour to Macaron cafe on

36th street

to pick up a free macaron because um... It's a free macaron! If anyone knows me, they know I have a slight obsession with these mini pastry treats. Years back when everyone was on a cupcake craze I was on all up on these stunners. For Birthdays, my wedding, just because it's Wednesday, I didn't need a reason to celebrate with a macaron. I've tried almost every single macaron shop in Manhattan and so far, my favorites have been bisious ciao, macaron cafe, and Lauduree. Sooo hint hint if you want to treat me to a gift (wink wink)

Oh yeah so free macarons... Winter had apricot honey, I had pumpkin cinammon, and Nyla and I shared cassis flavor. All thumbs up!

We then strolled over

to

Macy's children's department for family day and lines were already starting to form at all the stations (crafts, face painting, story time, etc). With the girls patience starting to wear thin (it was nap time) I quickly scanned the racks to see if any goodies

were deeply discounted. We happened to run right into Sinclair the dinosaur and his entourage of flowerpot and bumblebee. This totally made winter's day as she has been on a dinosaur kick lately so she posed for some photos and also scored a free stuffed Sinclair (now aptly named "dino"). I figured this was a good time to call it a day so we waved goodbye and headed home. Sunday funday. Yay!
