Walking the red carpet at kidville's Oscar's Party
We're not huge movie fans but i keep tabs on pop culture and the Oscars and love to see the glitz and glamour of the red carpet and the surrounding buzz that accompanies it. So when I was looking for a playdate idea for Winter and her recently returned bestie, Mia, and came across this oscar- themed party at Kidville, I was sold! An excuse to dress up my little star as well as themed activities, food, and playspace/bouncy house? Icing on the cake.
What's Winter Wearing?
I scored this black and white stunner at century21 on the sale rack for $5 and accessorized her outfit with one of my necklaces from ann taylor, headband bow gifted by my SIL, and black patent mary janes by Carters given to Winter at one of her shoe fitting jobs. Fashionista maxinista!
The party: we entered and immediately had paparazzi take winter's photo on the red "carpet" with her Oscar. Then we headed to party room for DiY cupcake making and bagels/coffee for the parents. There were "champagne" smoothies and popcorn and juice boxes.
Afterwards we headed to the play gym so Winter could jump off that sugar high. It took about a good 20 min before she was wore out.
Then Mia and Winter headed to the Craft services room to fill out their ballots and decorate trophies (or just scribble and color and stamp as toddlers are content to do).
We finished off with a couple extra jumps on the bouncing mats, made a new friend (hello Juliet and Stella from
!) Cheers!
and then collected our swag bags, gave hugs and air kisses and headed home for a well earned beauty nap. This celebrity life is hard!
Baby Nyla didn't get to come but Winter gave her the spoils of her swag bag!
